چکیده
The interaction between surface acoustic waves (SAWs) and spin (SWs) in a piezoelectric-magnetic thin film heterostructure yields potential for the realization of novel microwave devices applications magnonics. In present work, we characterize magnetoacoustic three adjacent magnetic micro-stripes made from CoFe + Ga, CoFe, Pt with single pair tapered interdigital transducers (TIDTs). were deposited by focused electron beam-induced deposition ion direct-writing techniques. transmission characteristics TIDTs are leveraged to selectively address individual micro-stripes. Here, external field is continuously rotated out plane forward volume SW geometry probed along normal. Our experimental findings well explained an extended phenomenological model based on modified Landau–Lifshitz–Gilbert approach that considers SWs nonzero wave vectors. Magnetoelastic excitation possible because vertical shear strain ? xz Rayleigh-type SAW.

Scanning SQUID susceptometers with sub-micron spatial resolution.
Superconducting QUantum Interference Device (SQUID) microscopy has excellent magnetic field sensitivity, but suffers from modest spatial resolution when compared with other scanning probes. This spatial resolution is determined by both the size of the field sensitive area and the spacing between this area and the sample surface. In this paper we describe scanning SQUID susceptometers that achie...
متن کاملMulti-excitation magnetoacoustic tomography with magnetic induction (MAT-MI)
Magnetoacoustic tomography with magnetic induction (MAT-MI) is an approach proposed to do non-invasive electrical conductivity imaging of biological tissue using magnetic induction and ultrasound measurements. In the present study, based on the analysis of the relationship between the conductivity distribution and the generated MAT-MI acoustic source, we propose a new multi-excitation algorithm...
متن کاملSpin-wave excitation in magnetic insulators by spin-transfer torque.
We study the excitation of spin waves in magnetic insulators by the current-induced spin-transfer torque. We predict preferential excitation of surface spin waves induced by an easy-axis surface anisotropy with critical current inversely proportional to the penetration depth and surface anisotropy. The surface modes strongly reduce the critical current and enhance the excitation power of the cu...
متن کاملMagnetoacoustic wave propagation in current sheets
Magnetoacoustic waves in a Harris neutral current sheet are investigated. The magnetic field strength, Alfvén speed, sound speed and plasma density vary continuously across the structure. The sheet supports body, surface and hybrid modes. Two surface modes exist (a kink and a sausage). In addition, fundamental and harmonic body waves are found when their phase speeds approach the maximum Alfvén...
متن کاملRoton Instability of the Spin Wave Excitation in the Fully
We consider the effect of interactions on electrons confined to two dimensions at Landau level filling ν = 2, with the specific aim to determine the range of parameters where the fully polarized state is stable. We calculate the charge and the spin density collective modes in random phase approximation (RPA) including vertex corrections (also known as time dependent Hartree Fock), and treating ...
